About Chris
I was born in Johnson City, TN, raised in Kingsport, TN, and now reside in the beautiful town of Blountville, TN. I am a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Carson-Newman University. After 13 years of teaching and coaching, I decided it was time for a change. In 2019, I became a licensed general contractor in Tennessee and started my business, Martin Homes LLC.
I am married to Shelley Martin, who is also a Realtor with Prestige Homes of the Tri-Cities. We have two amazing children, a golden retriever, a couple of cats, and some hens that bless us daily with eggs.
I love new construction and enjoy working with clients through the remodel process. As a Realtor, I also help clients understand how homes are constructed, how to bring new life into an existing home to increase property value, how to properly plan for a new construction project through the purchase of land, and how to turn a house into a home by using my knowledge and resources.
Buying or selling a home is an exciting process, but it can also be a very sentimental experience as well. I believe building (no pun intended) relationships and listening to the wants and needs of my clients, is the first step to achieving success in buying, selling, remodeling, or building.
